As a licensed attorney, Ms. Koziel diligently provides quality legal representation to her clients. After passing the Colorado bar examination Ms. Koziel worked as a Deputy State Public Defender for the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender in both Colorado Springs and Denver. While a Public Defender Ms. Koziel acquired a passion for zealously advocating for those charged with a crime as they are afforded the presumption of innocence.
In private practice, Ms. Koziel continues to represent clients charged with felonies, misdemeanors, and juvenile offenses. Ms. Koziel takes a client-centered approach and has extensive experience handling serious offenses—such as homicides, sexual assaults, aggravated robberies, and first degree burglaries.
Ms. Koziel’s legal practice is dedicated not only to criminal defense but also family law. To Ms. Koziel, nothing is more important than preserving a family’s relationship; whether it is assisting a couple amicably dissolve their marriage or representing a parent in a D&N case.
Ms. Koziel received her J.D. from Colorado Law School in Boulder, Colorado. She interned with the Colorado Public Defender’s Offices in both Denver and Boulder throughout most of law school. In addition, she was involved with the Colorado Innocence Project, Student bar Association, Women’s Law Caucus, Criminal Defense Clinic and was a Research Assistance for Professor Core Rosen Felder.
